What causes black spots on green radish

What causes black spots on green radish

1. The temperature is too low

Reason: Pothos can overwinter in an environment above 15°C. If the temperature is lower than this, it will easily be frostbitten, resulting in black spots.

Solution: Move the green radish to a warm place indoors in time. However, if the temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is too large, it should not be placed directly into the house to avoid further damage. If the room temperature is not high enough, you can put a plastic bag in it to keep it warm.

2. Too much light

Reason: Strong light can damage the leaves of the green radish and cause black spots to appear.

Solution: Provide shade for the green radish. When the sun is strong at noon, it is best to place it in semi-shade to avoid exposure to light. It can be exposed to moderate light in the early morning or evening, but the lighting time should not be too long.

3. Poor air circulation

Reason: Pothos needs to grow in a well-ventilated environment so that there is enough oxygen for it to respire. Black spots will appear due to lack of oxygen.

Solution: Create a good ventilation environment for the green radish and ensure air circulation. At the same time, if it is too dry, you can spray water appropriately to make the air a little more moist, which is beneficial to its growth.

4. Leaf spot

Reason: Leaf spot is one of the common diseases of green radish, and black spots will appear on the diseased leaves.

Solution: The diseased branches and leaves should be cut off first, and it is best to burn them to avoid the spread of bacteria. In addition, spray diluted maneb to effectively prevent secondary recurrence.
