What to do if the leaves of Ruyi Queen turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Ruyi Queen turn yellow

1. Color: Water yellow

Possible reasons: There is too much water in the flowerpot of Queen Ruyi and it has been damp for too long, which has led to a lack of oxygen in the soil of Queen Ruyi, causing partial rot of the roots of Queen Ruyi and even weakening the absorption capacity of Queen Ruyi.

Treatment method: If this happens, you should loosen the soil immediately, control the amount of watering, and stop fertilizing. In serious cases, you can remove the Queen Ruyi from the soil, place it in a shady place to dry it, and then fill it with soil.

2. Color: Fat yellow

Possible reasons: excessive fertilizer application or too high fertilizer concentration, especially excessive nitrogen fertilizer application, leads to yellowing leaves, which are manifested as shiny new leaves but not smooth enough, while old leaves gradually turn yellow and fall off.

Treatment method: At this time, you should stop fertilizing and increase the amount of watering appropriately to dilute the fertilizer concentration, and then you should refill the soil. These things are usually done when it rains.

3. Color: alkaline yellow

Possible reasons: Ruyi Queen often loses green color and turns yellow due to alkaline soil. The yellowing occurs between the veins of the branches and leaves, but the leaf veins, especially the main veins of Queen Ruyi, remain green, showing a very obvious color difference. After a while, as the yellowing symptoms of the leaves deepen, the main veins gradually lose their green surface, and finally the Queen Ruyi turns completely white, the edges of the leaves become scorched, the leaves fall off, the branches dry up, and even the whole plant dies.

Treatment method: In the face of this situation, our main goal is to transform the soil. Alum fertilizer can be applied to achieve the purpose of fertilizing and watering.

4. Color: dark yellow

Possible reason: Queen Ruyi likes sunlight, so insufficient sunlight indoors will cause the branches and leaves of Queen Ruyi to turn yellow.

Treatment method: At this time, the flower disc should be moved outdoors to a ventilated place with direct sunlight.

5. Color: dry yellow

Possible reasons: The leaf surface or branch ends of Queen Ruyi will turn yellow due to long-term lack of water or insufficient watering. At this time, the old leaves will turn yellow and fall off from bottom to top, but the new leaves generally grow normally.

Treatment method: When this phenomenon occurs, Queen Ruyi should replenish water.
