How to solve the black spots on the leaves of green radish

How to solve the black spots on the leaves of green radish

1. Increase lighting

Reason: As a shade-loving plant, the green radish will grow poorly if it is not exposed to sunlight for a long time, resulting in black spots on the leaves.

Solution: Place the green radish in an area with diffuse light. The sunlight in autumn and winter is soft and you can stay in the sun directly. The sunlight is strong in spring and summer, and long-term exposure will cause it to lose a lot of water, so it must be shaded.

2. Improve ventilation

Reason: The plant has poor disease resistance due to poor air circulation. If the environment is too humid, it can easily cause disease and cause black spots on the leaves.

Solution: Move the green radish to an area with good air circulation, and avoid an environment that is too humid or dry. If the environment is humid, you can put some desiccant in the room. If the environment is dry, you can spray water on the leaves of the green radish to increase the air humidity.

3. Increase the temperature

Reason: The green radish itself is not cold-resistant. Low temperatures will cause it to be frozen, resulting in black spots on the leaves.

Solution: Increase the temperature of the environment. Pothos cannot grow in an environment below 10℃. In autumn and winter, the plants can be placed indoors to receive sunlight, which helps to raise the temperature. If the indoor temperature cannot be reached, you can cover the upper part with a plastic bag to keep it warm.

4. Prevention and treatment of leaf spot

Cause: Leaf spot can also cause dark spots on leaves, but it is less common.

Solution: Cut off the diseased branches and leaves first and dispose of them in a centralized manner to avoid the spread of germs. Then spray the plants with Benomyl to prevent secondary recurrence. Generally, it is sufficient to spray once every two weeks, and it will play a preventive role after one month. At the same time, when applying fertilizer, organic fertilizer can improve the disease resistance of the plant, which can also effectively prevent various diseases.
