How to save the green basket when it wilts

How to save the green basket when it wilts

1. Increase lighting

Although the green radish is a shade-tolerant plant, long-term lack of sunlight is not conducive to its growth and can easily cause the plant to wilt. Generally, it can be placed under diffuse light to receive light in summer and autumn. In winter and spring, place it in direct sunlight to avoid frostbite.

2. Winter insulation

In winter, the temperature of the environment where the green radish is located should be higher than 10℃. Otherwise, the plants will be frozen and cause them to wilt. Generally, you can place it indoors, but keep it away from heaters or air conditioners to avoid baking and causing moisture loss in the leaves.

3. Rehydrate in time

The most likely reason for the wilting of the green radish is lack of water. There are many reasons for water shortage, which may be insufficient watering or strong transpiration causing rapid loss of water from the leaves. Check the soil in the pot regularly. If the soil is dry, you can water it. Water it thoroughly at one time, and don't just water half of it. In addition, you should sprinkle water on the leaves to increase the humidity of the air to inhibit the transpiration effect.

4. Stop fertilizing at low temperature

Do not fertilize too much money. Especially in autumn and winter, the plants grow slowly, and applying more fertilizer will not help them grow, but on the contrary will damage the roots. Root damage leads to poor water absorption, causing the plant to wilt. In this case, you should first clean the potting soil and dilute the fertilizer to avoid further damage to the roots. At the same time, you should pay attention to maintenance and place it in a cool and ventilated place to wait for recovery. After the plant has developed well, place it under diffuse light again for cultivation.
