What is wrong with the dried leaves of gardenia and how to remedy it?

1. Reasons

1. Too much watering: It is an evergreen plant, and the occurrence of dry leaves indicates improper maintenance. If you water too much during maintenance and the soil in the pot is too humid, the roots will lack oxygen, causing the leaves to turn yellow and dry.

2. Lack of fertilizer: If there is a lack of nitrogen fertilizer during the growth period, its leaves will turn yellow, and the newly grown small leaves will be very brittle and small. If there is a lack of potassium fertilizer, the old leaves will turn brown. If there is a lack of phosphorus fertilizer, the old leaves will turn dark red, and over time they will dry up and fall off.

3. Too strong light: Although it likes light, if the light is too strong, the leaves will turn yellow and dry out.

II. Remedies

1. Reduce watering: If it is caused by too much watering, you should pay attention to reduce watering in the later stage, move it to a place with scattered light, let the moisture in the potting soil evaporate as soon as possible, cut off the yellow and dry leaves, and wait until the soil is dry before watering again.

2. Scientific fertilization: Add corresponding fertilizers according to the above situation. Alternatively, you can also apply decomposed cake fertilizer or human manure to it.

3. Reduce light: If the light is too strong, move it to a place with scattered light in time, spray water appropriately, and lower the temperature. It is strictly forbidden to place it in a place with strong light in the later stage.
