How to water Schefflera

Watering method

Growth habit

Schefflera chinensis, also known as umbrella tree, can grow normally in an environment with weak sunlight, thus forming a semi-shady environment suitable for its growth. Therefore, Schefflera is very suitable for cultivation in indoor places such as living rooms. Schefflera must be grown in a sunny and ventilated place, and can grow well at a temperature of around 20 degrees. Schefflera is not cold-resistant, so the temperature must be kept above 5 degrees in winter. Schefflera can adapt to various environments and can grow normally whether it is wet or dry.

Growth period

Schefflera itself has certain drought and moisture resistance, but this is only relative. Compared with other flowers and plants, its drought and moisture resistance are relatively high. When we water it, we should do so when the soil shows signs of dryness, and be careful not to water it too much. When it is hot and dry in summer, you can increase the watering frequency appropriately, because the evaporation rate is relatively large at this time, and the excess water will evaporate quickly. Watering more can make Schefflera grow better. Generally, a small amount of watering once a day is sufficient to keep the soil slightly moist. In spring and autumn, watering once or twice a week is enough to meet its water needs.

Precautions

When planting Schefflera, remove healthy branches for cuttings, then press the soil firmly, water it with enough water, and place it in a cool place to let it grow.
