What to do if Kalanchoe does not grow flower buds

What to do if Kalanchoe does not grow flower buds

1. Soil

We still have to start from the roots. We must know that the soil has a greater impact on it. If we use relatively heavy soil, its development will not be very good, and naturally no flower buds will grow. So we usually use leaf mold and garden soil, and it is best to add some river sand or bone meal, which is more suitable for it.

2. Fertilizer

1. We can add some nutrient solution containing potassium and phosphorus, then dilute it and pour it to its roots, so that its nutrients will be higher. Once a week will do, and then it will start to flower.

2. We must pay attention to ensure that the base fertilizer is good before it blooms. Generally, we do this when repotting, and we should apply more nitrogen fertilizer in the summer.

3. Rizhao

This is a plant that requires short-day light. Generally speaking, we need to give it about eight hours of light a day. When it doesn't need light, it's best not to give it light, otherwise it will easily not bloom. So we can block the light ourselves, for example, by covering it with a black bag, usually starting at 6 pm and removing it at 8 am. This way it will be easier for it to grow flowers.

4. Watering

In addition, watering is also a very important part. Generally speaking, we should water it less when it shows signs of flowering, usually only two or three times a month. This can promote the opening of the flowers and increase the flowering time.

5. Spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate

When the flowers are blooming, we can spray some potassium dihydrogen phosphate on them, but not directly on them. Generally, we mix it with water and then add it every time we water the flowers. This can also make the flowers bloom faster. Remember not to use this thing after flowering.

6. Temperature

In fact, temperature is also a very important point. Generally speaking, it is easier for it to bloom in the range of fifteen to twenty degrees Celsius, so if it is cold at home, you can consider keeping it warm. If there is floor heating, it is better not to put it directly on the ground, otherwise the flowers will easily be burned.
