When does Phlox bloom?

Flowering period

Phlox blooms twice a year. The first time is in May, when flower buds begin to grow and the flowers bloom, which will last for two months. The second flowering is in August, also a two-month flowering period, but in warmer areas, if transplanted into December, there will still be sporadic flowers blooming.

If the seeds are sown in the same year, basically in February, they will not bloom until mid-May.

What do flowers look like?

The flowers of Phlox are very similar to hydrangeas, so it is no wonder that its nickname is sky blue hydrangea. However, compared to hydrangeas, the flowers of Phlox are larger and the clusters of flowers are sparser.

The flowers of Phlox come in many different colors, including red-purple, lavender, dark purple, goose yellow, and even two-color ones. The shapes of the petals are also different, including round, star-shaped, whisker-shaped and radial.

Flower Language

The flower language of Phlox is welcome and generosity, so this flower can often be seen on the roadside or even at the entrance of buildings.

It is said that people who are blessed by this flower do not like noisy environments, will not compete for fame and fortune, and will be satisfied with a peaceful life. But you are mature, not good at expressing your feelings, and you keep your thoughts to yourself. Even though there are waves in the heart, the surface remains calm. Being thoughtful is your advantage, but being unwilling to express is a fatal flaw that often makes you miss out on many things. Be candid and try to express yourself.
