What to do if the water lotus leaves are dry

What to do if the water lotus leaves are dry

1. Reasons

1. Insufficient lighting. It cannot be separated from certain care during its normal growth process. If you place it in a too dark area at home and do not give it light for a long time, its leaves will of course dry up.

2. No ventilation. If you place it in a poorly ventilated place at home and there is no wind or air permeability, the O2 in the water will be consumed quickly and its leaves will turn yellow and dry.

3. The temperature is too low. It likes a warm environment. If it is winter, the weather is too cold and it cannot survive the winter safely. As physiological activities slow down, the rate of nutrient absorption will also weaken, and its leaves will become dry. If the situation is serious, the leaves may even fall off to retain nutrients.

4. Too much fertilizer. If you add a lot of fertilizer to promote its growth, it will be toxic and make its leaves dry.

5. The water is changed too infrequently. If the water is not changed for a long time, the O2 in the water has been absorbed and there is no extra O2 for it to absorb. At the same time, the number of microorganisms in the water will increase, and its roots will rot and its leaves will dry out.

We need to carefully figure out the specific reasons why the leaves are drying up before we can take specific measures. If there is insufficient fertilizer, add special nutrient liquid; if there is insufficient light, place it in a bright and windy area at home.

2. Daily maintenance

1. It likes places with high temperature and high humidity. It is not very resistant to severe cold. Generally, it can grow well between fifteen and forty-five degrees. If it is lower than ten degrees, the roots will rot, and if it is lower than five degrees, it will die.

2. It likes clean water. If it is running water that flows frequently, it is good for its growth.

3. It blooms in the summer and only takes sixty to eighty days to produce fruit. If your home is in the Guangxi and Guangdong area, it can grow all year round and can safely survive the winter. When its fruit is ripe, it will crack and fall into the water, taking root and growing the following year.
