What to do if the green treasure tree loses its leaves

What to do if the green treasure tree loses its leaves

1. Lighting issues

(1) Reason: We should first understand that this plant is light-loving. Therefore, if there is a lack of light in its growth environment, it is likely to cause excessive growth, which will then manifest as leaf fall.

(2) Solution: If this is the reason, then we need to adjust the surrounding environment so that it does not stay in an overly dark environment for a long time. We can place it on a drying rack or near a window so that it can receive scattered light. However, one thing to note is that too much light is also not good for it.

2. Moisture problem

(1) Cause: If there is too much water, it is likely to cause root rot first, and then cause leaves to fall off. This is also a very possible reason.

(2) Solution: During its peak growth period, watering once or twice a week is enough to meet its needs. Watering more frequently is not necessary. In addition, the amount of water used at one time should not be too large. Also, we adjust according to the specific condition of the potting soil. If you notice that the soil in the pot turns white, you can water it a little; if it is still very wet, don't water it yet.

3. Disease problems

(1) Reason: This plant is susceptible to a disease called leaf spot. If it gets this disease, it will also lose its leaves.

(2) Solution: First, we need to get rid of the diseased leaves. Furthermore, we can spray 50% carbendazim solution once every two weeks for three or four times in a row. In addition, we also need to improve ventilation and light transmission.
