What to do if the leaves of gardenia droop

What to do if the leaves of gardenia droop

1. Increase humidity

If the tree is really lacking in water as the flower seller said, the most important thing is to increase the humidity of the environment around it. You can spray more water on the tree and the ground, and not just on the soil where the tree is planted. And don't put it in a windy place, otherwise it will dehydrate faster.

2. Change the pH value of the soil

Just like the flower lover at the beginning of the article, he watered the flower a lot but the leaves didn’t change at all. There might be something wrong with the soil. In this case, if you continue to water, the leaves will droop even more. This is a problem with the acidity and alkalinity of the soil, which is really important for its growth.

It likes slightly acidic soil, so the pH value should be between 4 and 6.5. If after measurement, you find that the pH is not enough, you can add some vinegar when watering the flowers, at a ratio of 1 to 300, or you can add ferrous sulfate, at a ratio of 1 to 3,000 with water. If it is the former, watering three to four times a month will be enough, if it is the latter, twice will be enough. You can also spray the leaves four to five times a month, which will be better for its growth.

3. Control environment

Another very important reason is to regulate its environment. When it moves from an environment it has adapted to to a new area, the temperature and humidity change, and it will feel uncomfortable. The roots will feel the most uncomfortable. If the temperature is high, the moisture in the leaves will evaporate quickly but the roots have not absorbed enough water, so the leaves will droop. At this time, do not let it bask in the sun. Ventilation is necessary to facilitate its recovery.

IV. Precautions

If the leaves of your flower are drooping, you can scrape off a little bit of the skin to see if the color is green. If it is and still has some moisture, then your tree can still be saved. You can spray water on the leaves. After an hour or two, the leaves will stretch out. Then water the soil on the ground. Make sure it is watered thoroughly. If there is green but it is very dry, it means that your tree is dead. If there is no green at all, it means that it has been dead for a long time.
