How to plant Impatiens

How to plant Impatiens

Pot soil

Find a container such as a flower pot, fill it with about 80% loose soil, and leave a small portion of dry soil for later use. The soil should be fertile and loose, and the pH should be slightly acidic.

Sowing Seeds

Sprinkle a little water evenly in the container, not too wet (spray a few drops until it is slightly wet). Sprinkle the prepared Impatiens seeds on the soil. You don’t need to scatter them too densely, just keep a proper distance.

Covering

After sowing the Impatiens seeds, cover the seeds with the reserved dry soil. The layer of dry soil on top only needs to be thin enough to cover the seeds. Don't spread it too thickly.

Post-maintenance

Place the flower pot where it can receive sunlight, but avoid excessive temperatures and direct sunlight. Water once in the morning and evening every day, and avoid watering the Impatiens seeds at noon. Do not water too much.

transplant

After the Impatiens seeds germinate, they need to be transplanted. I usually wait until the Impatiens has grown 4 leaves before transplanting. Try to avoid direct sunlight during the transplanting process, and the transplanting should not be too dense, about 30 cm between plants is enough.

After planting, water the plants in time and keep the soil in the pot moist, but not waterlogged. Also, be careful not to keep the soil too wet for a long time, otherwise the roots and stems will easily rot.
