How to care for the newly bought fortune tree seedlings

How to care for the newly bought fortune tree seedlings

1. Choose potting soil

The newly purchased money tree seedlings will come with potting soil and can be cultivated for a period of time. However, it will continue to grow, and the original potting soil cannot meet its normal growth needs, so it needs to be replaced with a new larger pot. It is best to use loose soil and try to avoid using heavy clay soil.

2. Reasonable lighting

Proper light should be given to facilitate photosynthesis of the plant. It cannot be kept in a dark growing environment for a long time, as this will cause the leaf color to fade and the leaves to become smaller. It must have sufficient sunlight, especially in the spring. You can usually place it on a windowsill with good light and sunlight for maintenance.

3. Proper watering

The root system of the money tree is not very developed and is very sensitive to water. Keep the soil moist in spring and autumn. Water evaporates quickly in summer, so you can water it more often. Watering is generally not necessary in winter.

4. Fertilize regularly

For the newly bought money tree seedlings, you need to fertilize it regularly. Only by ensuring sufficient nutrients can it grow stronger. Applying more nitrogen fertilizer can make the leaves more shiny, and applying more potassium fertilizer during its growth period can make the plant's root system more developed. However, do not apply too much fertilizer or too frequently. Generally, it is sufficient to apply fertilizer once every 15 days.
