What to do if the creeping bellflower does not bloom

What to do if the creeping bellflower does not bloom

The reasons for this phenomenon

If you want to know what to do, you must first identify the specific cause so that you can prescribe the right remedy. In fact, there are many factors that may affect the flowering of plants.

temperature

The first thing to mention is of course the temperature. If the temperature is too low, the roots, stems and leaves of the plants may not be affected for a while, but the flowers will be the first to suffer. The natural drop in winter temperatures or the fact that you live at a high altitude may result in temperatures that are not suitable for plants to bloom.

Insufficient nutrients

The second reason is insufficient nutrients. This reason may include the fact that the soil itself does not contain much nutrients or that people forget to add fertilizer when they should. If the nutrition is not enough, even if the plant blooms as scheduled, the quality will definitely not be satisfactory.

illumination

The third is insufficient light. Don’t ignore this. Plants cannot survive without sunlight, let alone bloom.

Moisture

The fourth one is water. This possibility is not high, but it can be considered as one of the possibilities.

How to solve it specifically

In response to the above four reasons, the following methods are proposed.

If the altitude is high and the temperature is low or it is winter, the plants must be moved indoors for maintenance. It is best to ensure that the temperature around the plants is not lower than 15 degrees so that the flowers can bloom normally.

When you first start planting, it is best to choose potting soil that is rich in nutrients. However, if soil selection cannot be manipulated, supplement nutrients through fertilization, and liquid fertilizer should be applied once every month or so.

As for the third reason, just place it in a sunny place. Even when you are indoors in winter, you should take them out and dry them in the sun regularly.

The last one is water. Generally, just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist, not too dry and not too much water. You can also spray water appropriately in summer.
