Why doesn't the desert rose bloom?

When does it bloom?

The desert rose will not bloom casually, because it takes a certain amount of time for it to bloom. It will only bloom when it reaches the flowering age.

The flowers of desert rose are somewhat like small trumpets, and are rose red in color and very bright. The flowering period of desert rose is from May to December, and the colors are actually quite rich.

Reasons for not blooming

If the Desert Rose does not bloom, the main reason is actually improper daily maintenance, because the differentiation and growth of the flower buds of the Desert Rose requires the joint efforts of water, fertilizer, light and temperature to achieve.

If the Desert Rose has no buds, it may be because the tree is too young and has not reached the age to bloom, so it will not bloom. Of course, it is also possible that the branches have not grown fully when they are pruned.

If the desert rose has buds but does not bloom, it may be due to insufficient fertilizer and lack of nutrients, or the growing environment temperature is too low or there is insufficient light. If this is the case, then daily maintenance is necessary.

During daily maintenance, you need to pay attention to the fact that you can use dilute fertilizer water instead of clean water, but you need to stop fertilizing when flower buds appear. The light and temperature must meet the needs of the desert rose to enable it to grow well.

In addition to these maintenance issues, you also need to be careful not to buy fakes when purchasing desert roses. Some unscrupulous vendors will use other similar plants to impersonate desert roses, but once you buy them home and take care of them, you will find that the plants do not bloom or the blooming is not what you expected.
