Why does Jilongyue drop its leaves?

Why does Jilongyue drop its leaves?

Water

If you water too much and the ventilation is poor, the soil in the pot will find it difficult to dry out in a short period of time, which will cause the leaves to fall off. It’s easy to solve. Just stop watering, increase ventilation, and expose the plant to more sunlight.

The moonflower likes plenty of sunlight, warm and dry environment and is drought-resistant. Therefore, the moonflower likes an environment with sufficient sunlight. Insufficient sunlight will cause it to grow too tall, make the plant loose, make the leaves thinner, make the leaf color duller, and reduce the white powder on the leaves. Long-term excessive shade will cause the leaves to fall off.

Replenish sunlight in time and gradually move from the shade to the sun, Ji Longyue will slowly recover.

Poor ventilation

If you keep the plants indoors without timely ventilation and poor air circulation, the succulents can easily become suffocated. Especially in summer, the environment is hot and humid, which is not conducive to the growth of the moonflower.

Even if you open the windows for ventilation, you can still spray water on the Moonflower plant to cool it down when the temperature is high.

Low temperature

If the minimum temperature at night cannot be maintained at 10℃, watering should be controlled, the soil in the pot should be kept dry, and fertilization should be stopped to make the plant dormant. It can also withstand low temperatures of 5℃. When the temperature is too low in winter, the leaves are easily frostbitten.

Sick

But if it is a pathological drop, it means you are sick and there will inevitably be some losses. So you don’t need to pay attention to it, but generally speaking, if the leaves fall off, you can’t use leaf cuttings. You can use the healthy leaves that have not fallen off for leaf cuttings.
