Introduction to common rose diseases and pests and their prevention and control methods

1. Diseases

1. Rust: In the early stage of infection, small yellow-brown spots will appear on the leaves. If not treated in time, the spots will grow larger and larger, eventually affecting growth. You can spray the solution of oxycarboxin or sodium dithiocarb every half a month. Generally, a few sprays will be enough to cure the disease.

2. Black spot disease: At the beginning, small dark brown spots will appear in the middle part of the leaves, and gradually infect and affect the entire leaf. It is generally common during the rainy season. You can spray some carbendazim, the treatment effect is also good. This condition cannot be delayed.

3. Powdery mildew: The symptom is white powdery spots appearing on the leaves, which will infect other leaves. The white powder needs to be removed in time. If the situation is serious, the leaves can be cut off directly and a little antibiotic solution can be sprayed on the plant once every half a month.

4. Other diseases: In addition to the above-mentioned diseases, sooty mold and mosaic disease may also occur. The leaves need to be cut off first and then sprayed with pesticides.

2. Pests

Insect pests are also quite serious. Red spider mites and aphids are very common and are the main pests that harm it. You can remove them manually or prepare some homemade pesticides. If the quantity is very large, spraying a solution of omethoate emulsion can have a very good effect.
