Disease and insect pest control of sheep alopecia

Leaf swell

Since the sheep's azalea is also a type of rhododendron, it is very likely to suffer from leaf swelling disease. The spots may appear on the front or back. In severe cases, the stems and leaves will swell. In severe cases, it looks like a biscuit. The disease is most likely to occur during March to May. When symptoms appear, the diseased leaves should be picked off first, but do not throw away the picked leaves casually. It is best to burn them so that they will not spread. Then you can spray them with special pesticides.

Leaf spot

This disease is quite common. You can guess the symptoms by looking at the name of the disease. It is the growth of spots on the leaves. When you encounter the disease, just like the above situation, first pick off the leaves and burn them, and then protect the plants that have not yet developed the disease. You need to spray the medicine regularly, once every 10 days, a total of 7-8 times will be enough. If you are worried about the leaves turning yellow, you can add a little ferrous sulfate.

Crowned web bug

This type of insect is also relatively common. Although this plant is poisonous, it does not affect the survival of the seeds. They mainly concentrate on eating on the back of the leaves, causing the entire back to change color. If prevention and control are not timely, the entire leaf may turn white and fall off prematurely, so you must observe carefully. To take precautions before planting, first remove all weeds and fallen leaves in the soil, and then kill all overwintering insect eggs with pesticides. If symptoms occur, the diseased leaves should be removed promptly, disposed of, and then treated with specific medicines.

Red Spider

This is also a common type of disease and insect pest. Some spots will appear on the leaves that are fed by the insects. When the feeding is serious, the whole leaf will fall off. The higher the temperature, the more likely it is to appear, especially when it is dry and hot. But the rainy weather is not that serious yet, so you need to replenish water in time. In winter, pests and diseases must be killed in time, and spraying should continue when damage occurs in March.
