Disease and Pest Control of Rhododendron gaoyueensis

Disease and Pest Control of Rhododendron gaoyueensis

Diseases

Compared with insect pests, this plant has more diseases and the chance of suffering from diseases is much greater. Therefore, we mainly introduce several of its diseases.

The first disease is called "leaf swelling disease". From the name of this disease we can infer that it harms the leaves. If you find that a plant has this disease, the first thing you should do is of course to remove all the affected leaves and then treat them together. It is best to burn them to avoid infecting other leaves nearby. Then spray some pesticides, such as 65% to 80% mancozeb 500 times solution, etc., once every one week to ten days until the plant disease is cured.

The second disease is "leaf spot", which can also endanger its leaves. When the disease is not too serious, the spots that appear are generally small and light in color. When the disease becomes serious, these small spots will connect together to form large patches, and the color will become darker. The treatment of this disease is similar to the first one. Deal with the diseased leaves first. After treatment, spray the pesticide.

The third disease is called "coin disease". When the disease occurs, some thick white or pink substance will appear on the top of the leaves. The prevention and control of this disease is the same. First remove the leaves to be treated, and then spray copper sulfate.

Pests

Generally speaking, there are not many pests that harm this plant, and there is only one worth mentioning, which is aphids. If this kind of pest causes damage, generally we just need to spray some liquid medicine, such as omethoate emulsifiable concentrate, which is very effective against it.
