Prevention and control methods of Aspergillus rot disease of Kylin palm

Aspergillus rot symptoms

Initially, the affected nodes will develop yellow-green to yellow-brown lesions, then gradually soften and rot, leaving only the dry cortex or remaining pith. In general, yellow-brown mold will appear at the diseased site, and flower lovers should pay attention to observe whether there is such a phenomenon.

Causes of Aspergillus rot

Onion Aspergillus is the main pathogen of Aspergillus rot, which can cause the main stem or branches of Euphorbia to rot. The pathogen will attach to various substances such as soil and diseased body parts. After wintering, it will produce conidia, which are then spread by air currents and invade the Euphorbia tridentata, causing harm to it. In addition, the temperature and humidity of the potting soil must be kept stable, otherwise the plant will easily become diseased. In addition, long-term high temperature or high humidity environment can also cause Aspergillus rot.

Aspergillus rot prevention and control

After the onset of the disease, the diseased remains should be removed promptly, gathered and buried deeply or burned. You can also use 1 part of 75% Daconin wettable powder mixed with 50-100 parts of fine dry soil as a medicine and sprinkle it on the soil surface. Of course, if necessary, you can directly replace the potting soil.

In the early stage of the disease, you can spray some liquids, such as 500 times diluted 40% thiophanate-methyl suspension, 800 times diluted 50% methyl thiophanate wettable powder, or 1000 times diluted 50% benomyl wettable powder.

Medical Daktarin ointment can be applied to the affected area for effective treatment.

The above are the prevention and control methods of Aspergillus rot disease introduced to you. Pay more attention to some details. Once symptoms of the disease appear, timely treatment should be sought.
