Disease prevention and control of desert rose

Desert Rose Leaf Spot

The most common disease of Desert Rose is leaf spot. When leaf spot occurs, brown spots will appear on the leaves of the spider plant, and gradually expand to form clustered spots, which will cause the plant to wither and the leaves to fall off.

Prevention and treatment methods

When potting, you should pay more attention to observation. When leaf spot disease occurs, you can use 500 times the solution of 50% thiophanate wettable powder to spray to prevent and control the harm caused by leaf spot disease and protect the ornamental value of the plant.

Desert Rose Soft Rot

Soft rot is another common disease of Desert Rose. The characteristic of soft rot is that it can produce water-soaked softening phenomenon near the growth environment of Desert Rose. It is white or light yellow at first, and then gradually turns dark brown.

The main reason is that the Desert Rose fails to be well ventilated and watered properly during the hot summer, which causes water to accumulate in the pot, leading to root rot and soft rot.

Prevention and treatment methods

For potted Desert Rose, you should choose sandy loam with good drainage and fertile soil. Do not water it too much. It should be watered once every month or so, and pay attention to spraying 200 times Bordeaux liquid for prevention and control.
