Cutting propagation method of shrimp flower

Cutting propagation method of shrimp flower

time

Cutting propagation can be carried out throughout the year, but the survival rate of cuttings in summer is not high.

Cuttings

Choose healthy and full branches. When choosing terminal bud cuttings, choose branches with terminal buds, 3-5 nodes, and 9-15 cm long. You can remove the 1st or 2nd pair of leaves below the branches. Cutting off some leaves can reduce evaporation. When choosing softwood cuttings, try to retain 2-3 pairs of leaves to increase the survival rate of the cuttings.

method

Prepare the flower pots and soil, water the soil thoroughly, put the cuttings into the soil, pay attention to the amount of watering, and avoid water accumulation and poor drainage.

It takes two to three weeks for the cuttings to take root. After rooting, they can be transplanted into large pots or planted in the flower bed.
