Disease and Pest Control of Dripping Guanyin

The diseases of the weeping angel plant appear on the leaves, and there are generally two types: leaf spot and anthracnose.

Leaf spot

For leaf spot disease, spray the leaves with 800 times diluted thiophanate-methyl or carbendazim 2-3 times in a row, each time with an interval of 7 days.

anthrax

Anthracnose should be controlled by spraying the leaves with 500 times diluted 75% thiophanate-methyl once every 7 days for 2-3 times in a row.

Fusarium Wilt

There is a wilt disease on the stems, which is caused by bacterial infection. This disease is not easy to detect at first, but once it is discovered, it will be very serious. If you find that the stem is leaning to one side or has wilted areas, it must be suffering from wilt disease. You can use a knife to cut out the diseased area. The boundary between the diseased area and the non-diseased area is very obvious and can usually be broken off by hand. If the diseased area is less than one-third of the stem, you can apply a layer of thiophanate-methyl solution on the undiseased area and keep it dry. Apply it again every ten days. It will be basically cured after 20 days.

The weeping angel is a foliage plant. Once the leaves become sick, it will inevitably affect its ornamental effect. Therefore, prevention and control of diseases of the weeping angel should be the main approach.

The most serious insect pest of the weeping angel is mites, commonly known as red spiders.

Red Spider

Red spider mites usually grow on the back of leaves. They not only absorb nutrients from the leaves, but also spread various viruses, seriously affecting the growth of plants. Therefore, you must check them regularly and treat them immediately if you find any. It can be treated with drugs such as Mite Cleaner, Mite Clearer, and Imidacloprid.
