How to treat diseases and pests of thorny roses

Diseases

The first disease is called "black spot", which is relatively familiar to us and affects many types of plants. It can mainly harm the leaf parts of this plant. When the disease first starts, some small brown spots will appear on the surface of its leaves. As the disease progresses, these small spots will slowly connect into large round spots, and their color will gradually deepen. To prevent and control this disease, we first need to clean up the fallen leaves in time and cut off the diseased parts. Secondly, we can spray some pesticides, such as Bordeaux solution. Of course, strengthening management is also very important. For example, it is best to use drip irrigation for irrigation.

The second disease is called "rust", which is also more common. It can have a significant impact on both leaves and branches, and in severe cases can even cause most of the leaves to fall off, leading to death. For this disease, we must strengthen supervision and try to take timely measures and spray the corresponding medicine once every week for three to four consecutive times. This disease can be well suppressed.

Pests

The first is the "chafer", which is harmful to the leaves, flowers, roots and other parts of the plant, especially affecting the quality of flowering. To deal with it, we can use light trapping method. If the infestation is very serious, you may need to use insecticide.

The second type is the "thorn moth", which will eat the leaves and cause leaf damage. For this kind of pest, we must first carefully check whether there are insect eggs on the branches. If there are, we must cut them off in time and spray them with liquid medicine such as Fuling emulsion.
