Common pests of night-blooming primrose and their control methods

Aphid Control on Night Primrose

1. You should have some peppers at home. If you have, you can use 50 grams of fresh peppers or dried red peppers, add 30 to 50 grams of water, boil for about half an hour, and use the filtrate after boiling to spray the affected plants. The effect is very good!

2. If there is no pepper, you can use 3 to 4 grams of commonly used laundry detergent at home, add 100 grams of water, stir it into a solution, and spray it on the plants 2 to 3 times continuously. The prevention and control effect can even reach 100%!

3. With the arrival of summer, Fengyoujing has gradually appeared in people's sight. Add water to Fengyoujing to make a 600 to 800 times solution, and use a sprayer to carefully spray the pests so that the pests' bodies are covered with the medicine. The effect of killing pests such as aphids and scale insects is over 95%, and it will not cause any harm to the plants. It is very useful~

4. Mix laundry detergent, urea and water in a ratio of 1:4:100, and spray the mixture on the plants to kill insects and apply fertilizer. This is a good way to kill two birds with one stone!

Scale Insect Control on Night Primrose

1. Add water to the liquor at home in a ratio of 1:2. When treating insects, remember to water the surface of the potting soil thoroughly. Scale insects begin to move when the room temperature reaches 7℃ in spring. We can choose the right time and water the plants once in mid-April, and then water them every half a month or so. After four consecutive waterings, we will be able to see the effect.

2. Use 50 ml of vinegar, preferably rice vinegar, soak a small cotton ball or cotton swab in it, and then use the wet cotton ball or cotton swab to gently wipe the stems and leaves of the night-blooming jasmine that have been infested by insects to wipe off and kill the scale insects. This method is relatively safe. It can not only achieve the purpose of eliminating insects, but also make the damaged leaves green again. However, if the night-blooming jasmine is attacked by scale insects on a large scale, it will be a bit difficult.

3. Use alcohol to gently wipe the diseased plants repeatedly. This can not only remove the scale insects, but also completely kill the larvae that are too invisible to the naked eye. In addition, scale insect damage is rarely found in the second year. However, like the second method, this method will be a bit laborious if the damage is to a large area.

4. You can also mix diesel, laundry detergent and water in a ratio of 10:0.6:6 to make an insecticide. The final insecticide should be in a milky state. After diluting it with water, spray it carefully on the scale insects on the night-blooming primrose. In about a week, most of the scale insects will become shrunken and die.

Other pest control of night primrose

For other insects such as leaf beetles, you can use 1000 times diluted 50% carbofuran emulsifiable concentrate for spraying.

Other insects such as aphids and scale insects can also be killed using this method.

However, if conditions permit, it is still recommended that you use the above-mentioned efficient and safe insect control methods!
