1. Root pruning: When the roots of Phalaenopsis orchid rot, it is necessary to dig the plant out of the pot as soon as possible and clean up the soil around the roots. Get a pair of clean, sterilized scissors and trim off the rotten parts. Don't be reluctant when pruning, as long as there is rotten part should be cut off.

2. Disinfection: After pruning the roots, use potassium permanganate for disinfection. After disinfection, the roots need to be placed in a relatively cool place for drying. At the same time, the old soil used previously must be replaced or disinfected, otherwise the roots will rot again even if it is re-potted.

3. Potting: After disinfecting and drying the Phalaenopsis, you can put it back into the potting soil and cover its roots with soil. Do not damage the root system during potting. After potting, keep it in a cool place with good air circulation for a period of time.

2. Prevention

When watering, you must strictly control the amount of water and do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. The soil used should also be breathable and have good drainage capabilities, and rain shelter measures should be taken when it rains.
