Disease and Pest Control of Cordyceps

Disease and Pest Control of Cordyceps

Anthracnose

Anthracnose of Cordyceps sinensis often occurs in a growing environment with high temperature, high humidity and poor ventilation. It harms the leaves and stems of the plant, causing charcoal-brown spots to appear, which gradually form spots in the later stages.

Prevention and control methods: Maintain a good growth environment for the plants, strengthen the ventilation of the plants, promptly clean up diseased leaves and branches, destroy them in a centralized manner, and reduce the sources of infection. During or after the onset of the disease, use 75% Benomyl wettable acid 800 times solution for prevention and control. Spray the diseased plants once every 10 days . Spraying 2-3 times in succession can control the disease of the plants.

Cordyline scale insect

A high temperature, high humidity and poorly ventilated growing environment can lead to the occurrence of this disease. Scale insects grow on the back of Cordyline leaves and also grow on the front in a small area. They mainly suck the sap of the leaves, causing the leaves to gradually turn yellow and wither. In addition, scale insects can also induce sooty mold disease. Scale insects have sharp piercing and sucking mouthparts, which can penetrate into the leaves of Cordyline to feed throughout their lives, seriously affecting the respiration and photosynthesis of Cordyline.

Prevention and control methods: Use 40% oxydemeton- methyl diluted 1000 times for spraying.
