How to remedy the yellowing leaves of plum blossoms

How to remedy the yellowing leaves of plum blossoms

1. Diseases, Pests and Insects

1. Reason: In the process of cultivating the beauty plum, if you are not careful, you will incur diseases such as gummosis and leaf spot, which will cause the leaves to become diseased and wither and turn yellow. During the spring and autumn seasons when pests are more prevalent, the "delicious" beauty plum branches and leaves will attract many pests such as the spiny moth and red spider mites, which suck the leaf juice and cause the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Normally, attention should be paid to the timely cleaning and pruning of withered branches and yellow leaves of beauty plums. In the early spring and autumn, compound pesticides and fungicides should be sprayed in advance for prevention and control. When encountering pests that are highly resistant to pesticides, special methods such as sex attractants can be used to eliminate them. After the insects are infested, spray insecticide to kill them in time.

2. Insufficient light

1.Reason: The beauty plum is a type that loves sunlight and is very intolerant of shade. If it is cloudy for more than 5 consecutive days, there will be insufficient light, photosynthesis will be reduced, and chlorophyll will be insufficient, causing some leaves to turn yellow or even fall off.

2. Treatment method: Artificial lighting can be used to increase the length of time it receives light. In addition, it should be planted in a sunny location with sufficient daily sunlight and a long enough light exposure time. As long as you ensure sufficient light and take good care of it for a period of time, it will return to normal.

3. Excessive water accumulation

1.Reason: Prolonged rain or excessive watering may cause the leaves of the beauty plum to turn yellow. There is too much water in the soil, water accumulates in the roots, and they cannot absorb water normally, causing yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: When planting it, you should choose a location with higher terrain, fewer potholes and better drainage. If you water too much, you should reduce the amount of watering. If it rains too much, you should take measures to drain or isolate the water.
