Causes and treatments for yellow osmanthus leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow osmanthus leaves

1. Too much watering

1. Reason: Osmanthus likes a humid environment, but its roots are not tolerant to moisture. Therefore, when raising it, you must water it in time. Do not water it too much at one time or too frequently, otherwise its roots will be waterlogged and cause yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: First remove the plant with yellow leaves from the pot, place it in a ventilated place, and cut off the yellow leaves and rotten roots. After it dries, plant it in soil with good drainage, stop watering for a while, and wait for it to recover.

2. Too much light

1. Reason: Osmanthus does like sunlight, and receiving sufficient light is also good for its flowering. However, it does not like strong light, because too strong sunlight will burn its leaves and cause them to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: First, cut off the leaves with larger yellowing areas. Then put it in a ventilated place, provide shade when necessary, and wait for it to grow leaves again.

3. Disease and insects

1. Reason: If it is not cultivated properly, it may become sick or infested with insects, which may also cause its leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: If the plant is sick, you need to cut off the diseased leaves in time, and then spray the plant and soil with fungicide for treatment. If it is infested with insects, you need to first brush off the adult insects with a brush, and then spray insecticide for treatment.
