The reason why the leaves of Chlorophytum turn yellow and wither

The reason why the leaves of Chlorophytum turn yellow and wither

1. The temperature is not suitable

Chlorophytum comosum grows best in an environment of 20 to 25 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is too low, it will suffer from frost damage. If the temperature is higher, the plant will also be affected. Especially in winter, if it is in a cold environment, it may be frostbitten, the leaves will turn yellow and then wither. It needs to be moved indoors for maintenance and maintained at normal temperature. During normal maintenance, also maintain a suitable temperature.

2. Unreasonable lighting

Chlorophytum is a semi-shade plant, but it needs a certain amount of light supplement to grow normally. If it lacks light or is exposed to excessive sunlight, the leaves will turn yellow and wither. The yellowing leaves need to be cut off and moved to a cool, ventilated place for maintenance.

3. Improper watering

It may be because of unreasonable watering. Too much or too little water is not conducive to plant growth, resulting in yellow leaves. If there is a lack of water, it is necessary to gradually replenish it. If there is too much water, it needs to be drained out in time. Pay attention to reasonable watering in daily life and adjust the watering frequency according to different seasons.

4. Improper fertilization

Fertilization is also an important reason. Too little or too much fertilizer will cause the leaves to turn yellow and wither. The amount of fertilizer can be adjusted according to the situation.
