What causes cyclamen leaves to turn yellow?

What causes cyclamen leaves to turn yellow?

1. Unsuitable soil quality

If the soil is not changed for a long time, it will become sticky and hard, without breathability, making it difficult for the plant roots to grow normally, and the condition of the entire cyclamen will be affected. You need to loosen the soil frequently to ensure air permeability. You can also replace the soil in the pot and prepare new soil.

2. Insufficient light

Although it is one of the more shade-tolerant plants, its leaves will turn yellow if it is not exposed to sunlight for a long time. You can change its placement and place it on a window with good light. This way, it will be exposed to sufficient light to help the leaves stay green and the flowers will bloom smoothly.

3. Improper watering

It usually likes moisture, but cannot tolerate a waterlogged environment, so if it is not watered for a long time, the soil in the pot will become dry and it will be difficult to absorb water. If there is too much water, it may cause root damage and the leaves on the plant will turn yellow. Water should be applied according to the growth trend, and attention should also be paid to the climatic conditions of each season.

3. Insufficient nutrients

Cyclamen needs sufficient nutrition during its growth process. If there is no nutrient supplement, the plant will easily grow poorly and the leaves will become weak and yellow. You can gradually add nutrients, but don't apply too much at one time.
