When to plant ginseng

When to plant ginseng

1. Planting time

There are not many requirements for the planting time, and there are mainly three stages. In spring, sowing is done in late April, waiting for the soil to thaw, so that seedlings can emerge in the same year. If you want to sow in the summer, you can choose June or July. In the north, try to finish sowing by the end of June. In the south, due to climatic reasons, you can postpone it to early to mid-July. If you choose to sow in autumn, it needs to be completed by the end of October.

2. Planting conditions

1. Soil: There are certain requirements for the soil for planting. The pH value needs to be between 6.0-6.5. It must also ensure that the seeds can breathe and germinate normally in it. It can be mixed with yellow sand, humus soil, and sandy loam. It needs to be disinfected before planting and contain 70%-80% water content.

2. Seeds: Buy suitable seeds, then soak them in water for about 24 hours, then take them out and place them in a warm environment, about 18-20℃. This will help to accelerate germination, increase the germination rate of seeds, and promote their future growth. Or you can wrap it in wet sand, which can also help to promote germination.

3. Sowing: According to the time requirements, sow the seeds into the soil, and remember to spray water on it frequently to keep it moist. After the seedlings grow out, be sure to block the sunlight. It likes to grow in a semi-shaded environment.
