How to keep the stalks and leaves from turning yellow (how to deal with yellowing of stems and leaves)

How to keep the stalks and leaves from turning yellow (how to deal with yellowing of stems and leaves)

1. Water appropriately

It likes a humid environment and needs to be watered frequently during maintenance. In spring, autumn and summer, it is usually necessary to water the plants every two or three days to keep them moist. However, the temperature is low in winter and the growth rate will slow down. The amount and frequency of watering should be reduced to avoid frostbite. If there is a lack of water, the stems and leaves of the plant will easily turn yellow, affecting its appearance and being detrimental to its growth.

2. Suitable temperature

It has poor cold resistance and the temperature must be controlled during the winter, not below ten degrees, otherwise it will stop growing. Once the temperature drops below 5 degrees, the leaves will be frostbitten and turn yellow. Normally, a temperature between 20 and 35 degrees is most conducive to growth. The plants will grow more vigorously at suitable temperatures.

3. Suitable lighting

When caring for it, place it in a place with scattered light and avoid strong light, otherwise the leaves will be sunburned and turn yellow. At this time, move it to a cool place in time, add water appropriately, and cool it down. It is shade-tolerant, but the plant will grow more vigorously if given appropriate light.

4. Scientific fertilization

Fertilizer should be applied in time during the maintenance period. Fertilizer should be applied two to three times a month during the peak growth season. Only with sufficient nutrients can the plant grow better. But be careful not to use too much, otherwise it will burn the roots and the leaves and stems will turn yellow. At this time, it is best to rinse the fertilizer with clean water in time.
