What to do if the leaves of hydroponic lucky bamboo turn yellow

1. Prune yellow leaves

If there are not too many leaves at the bottom and the leaves turn yellow, it is part of its normal metabolism. Just remove the yellow leaves. If there are a lot of yellow leaves, you can change the maintenance environment appropriately.

2. Cut off the bottom leaves

If it is a newly bought lucky bamboo, we can remove the old leaves at the bottom appropriately, and usually just keep the leaves on the upper part. Because there are too many leaves on the plant, it will slowly turn yellow. Therefore, before the hydroponic lucky bamboo takes root, you can use a knife to make a small slanted incision on its bottom and place it in a vase for maintenance. Be careful not to cut it directly with scissors, otherwise it will cause serious damage and rot.

3. Change water appropriately

If we want to truly improve the phenomenon of yellow leaves, we cannot fill the container with water too full. Usually a depth of 6 cm is most suitable for its growth and can meet its growth needs. If it is too deep, it will cause its leaves to turn yellow. Before its roots come out, try to reduce the number of times you change the water. You can also put in a few iron nails after it takes root to supplement the plant with iron-containing ingredients and reduce yellowing of leaves.
