Grape cultivation technology, how to grow grapes

1. Prepare the soil

It likes sandy loam with good drainage and breathability. When planting, pay attention to the soil quality and the plot, and ensure that the plot is well ventilated. You also need to deep plow the soil first, the depth should be more than 60 cm. In addition, if you want it to be more productive, you need to apply fertilizer, you can use animal manure, the amount used per acre is 1,500 kilograms.

2. Digging hole value

Planting can be done in spring or autumn. Spring is from March to May, and autumn is before freezing. Before planting the seedlings in the soil, cut off the dead stumps, cut short the long roots, and soak them in clean water for 24 hours to allow them to absorb enough water. Stretch the roots when planting and then cover with soil. The soil should be compacted and watered thoroughly.

3. Water and fertilizer management

It consumes a lot of water and nutrients during its growth period, so it needs to be replenished in time. Usually, two applications of fertilizer are required in spring, using urea fertilizer or compound fertilizer. In autumn, apply organic fertilizer and spray potassium dihydrogen phosphate on the roots to ensure better growth with sufficient nutrients. In addition, although it likes moisture, it cannot tolerate waterlogging. Pay attention to drainage during the rainy season.

4. Plastic Sculpting

Pruning is also important during management. In spring, you should remove the buds in time, leaving only two strong buds, and cut off the others. It is also necessary to pinch the tops of the plants in time, 5 days before flowering, as this will be more conducive to fruit setting. In addition, pruning is required in winter to save nutrient consumption, which is beneficial for growth and fruiting next year.
