What to do if the leaves of Phalaenopsis turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Phalaenopsis turn yellow

1. Proper shade

Reason: If the Phalaenopsis is grown in an environment that is exposed to strong light, its leaves will be sunburned and will not only turn yellow but also become very soft.

Solution: The yellow leaves should be cut off in time, and then placed in a shady place for about a week, and the leaves will recover. When caring for it, place it in a place with good but not strong light.

2. Drainage and loosening of soil

Reason: The plant is suitable for growing in a slightly humid environment and is very afraid of waterlogging. If the amount of water is too much or the frequency of watering is too frequent, water will accumulate, and the plant's roots will rot and the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Tilt the soil in the pot to allow the accumulated water to flow out, loosen the soil appropriately, and then place it in a place with good air circulation. The amount of water should be controlled during daily watering, and attention should be paid to sheltering from rain during the rainy season.

3. Stop fertilizing and change soil

Reason: Usually too much fertilizer is applied to the plant, and the roots cannot absorb it, which may cause fertilizer damage. After the roots are burned, they cannot transport nutrients normally, and the leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Stop fertilizing immediately and water appropriately to accelerate fertilizer loss. If the situation is more serious, it is best to replace the nutrient soil with new one and replant it.
