What to do if the leaves of the lucky bamboo turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the lucky bamboo turn yellow

1. Proper sunshade

Reason: Lucky bamboo needs proper light during its growth period, but if it is exposed to direct sunlight and kept in the sun for a long time in summer, its leaves will begin to turn yellow.

Treatment method: Move the potted plants to a cool, dark location as soon as possible to avoid exposure to the sun. If you don’t want to move it back and forth, you can also build a sunshade net for it, and the situation will improve after a period of time.

2. Replace the soil

Reason: When cultivating, if alkaline soil is used, its growth will be hindered, because it is suitable for growing in acidic soil, and using alkaline soil will also cause the leaves to turn yellow.

Treatment method: The best way is to change the soil for it, pour out the old soil and replace it with slightly acidic soil. If you find it troublesome, you can also add some alum fertilizer water to the soil.

3. Malnutrition

Reason: During the growth period of the plant, if no fertilizer is applied or the pot is not changed for a long time, the cultivation soil will lack nutrients, its root system will be malnourished, and the leaves will begin to turn yellow.

Treatment method: The plant should be fertilized in time, but the amount of fertilizer should be controlled. The pot should also be changed regularly to ensure that there is enough nutrition in the potting soil.
