How to treat yellowing of lucky bamboo leaves and what to do if the leaves wither

1. Reduce light

Reason: It is a shade-tolerant plant that can accept weak scattered light, but cannot tolerate strong sunlight. If it is placed in a place with strong light during maintenance, the leaves will be sunburned, turning yellow, and over time they will wither and fall off.

Solution: If the light is too strong, move it to a cool place in time, preferably a place with weak light, then water it appropriately and lower the temperature, and it will recover soon. During later maintenance, pay attention to the placement and do not place it under strong light.

2. Increase the amount of water

Reason: The yellowing of its leaves is most likely caused by lack of water, because once there is a lack of water, photosynthesis cannot be carried out, resulting in yellowing.

Solution: If this happens, you need to add water immediately. Water thoroughly until water flows out from the bottom of the pot, allowing the soil and roots to fully absorb the water. During the later maintenance, water shortage should not occur. If dryness is found, water should be replenished in time, but there should be no stagnant water.

3. Apply fertilizer appropriately

Reason: When applying fertilizer, do not apply too much fertilizer and the concentration should not be too high, otherwise it will burn the root system, causing the tips of new leaves to dry out and the leaves to become dull, and the old leaves will turn yellow, wither, or even fall off.

Solution: If the plant needs to be removed from the pot due to fertilization, check the root system and cut off the rotten roots. Then disinfect and dry the wound before replanting
