What to do if the leaves of Fragrant Wood turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of Fragrant Wood turn yellow

1. Proper watering

1. Reason: Fragrant wood is a drought-resistant plant. If too much water is given, water will accumulate in the soil, affecting the plant's breathing. If too little water is given, it cannot meet its needs. Both of these situations will cause the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Solution: Do not water until the soil is completely dry. If you water, make sure the soil is watered thoroughly. Generally speaking, watering twice a week is sufficient.

2. Change the soil quality

1. Reason: Fragrant wood is suitable for growing in acidic soil. If the soil in which it is grown is alkaline hard soil, its leaves will turn yellow.

2. Solution: Pour a few drops of vinegar into the alkaline hard soil, or add fermented rice washing water to the soil. Both of these things can change alkaline soil into acidic soil.

3. Increase Lighting

1. Reason: Fragrant wood is a sun-loving plant. If there is not enough sunlight, it cannot carry out photosynthesis and the leaves will turn yellow due to lack of nutrients.

2. Solution: Provide the fragrant wood with eight hours of natural light every day. Provide appropriate shade when the sun is strong at noon to prevent the sun from burning its branches and leaves.

4. Reasonable fertilization

1. Reason: The demand for nutrients of the fragrant wood is relatively large during the growth period, and the nutrients in the soil alone cannot meet its needs. If fertilizer is not applied in time, the leaves will turn yellow and curl.

2. Solution: Normally, you don’t need to fertilize it, once a month is enough, but during its growing period, you need to fertilize it two to three times a month.
