What to do if the leaves of rubber trees turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of rubber trees turn yellow

1. Change the soil

Reason: If the soil of the rubber tree is not changed for a long time, the nutrients in the soil will be absorbed by the plant and it will be difficult to continue to support the normal growth of the plant. It will have yellow leaves due to insufficient nutrient supply.

Solution: Change the soil for the rubber tree:. Repot the plant indoors and prepare a suitable new pot and new soil in advance. First, adjust the room temperature to about 15℃, then take the plant out of the original pot, cut off the damaged roots, plant it in a new pot, water it thoroughly, put it in a cool place for a while, and then you can resume normal maintenance.

2. Watering and fertilizing

Reason: Rubber water has a relatively high demand for water and fertilizer. If it is not watered or fertilized for a long time, it will lack nutrients and cannot grow normally, leading to phenomena such as yellow leaves.

Solution: Water and fertilize in time. If you haven't watered the rubber tree for a long time, water it thoroughly once, and then water it according to scientific methods. If it has not been fertilized for a long time, add some diluted phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.

3. Improve ventilation

Reason: If the rubber tree is kept in an overly closed environment for a long time without sufficient fresh air supply, it may develop yellow leaves.

Solution: Move the rubber tree to an area with good air circulation. If you are raising it indoors, you can open the windows to ventilate and increase air circulation.
