What to do if the leaves of the firecracker flower turn yellow

What to do if the leaves of the firecracker flower turn yellow

1. Too much water

When caring for plants, although their roots are in the soil, they also need to breathe. If water accumulates in the pot or it is too humid when watering, the roots will be in a state of "suffocation". At this time, the roots will not be able to absorb water and nutrients to supply the leaves of the plant, so the leaves will easily turn yellow.

Solution: Place the plant in a well-ventilated and sunny place to evaporate the moisture in the soil as quickly as possible. Although it needs a lot of water to grow, watering should not be done blindly. For example, when it is cloudy and rainy, you should reduce watering, or stop watering directly; watering should also be reduced during the flower bud growth period; when placing the plant, try to choose a place with good ventilation, so as to reduce water retention.

2. Insufficient nutrients

This flower grows fast and has lush flowers and leaves, so it needs sufficient nutrients. If nutrients are insufficient for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow. It is important to note that we need to increase the amount of fertilizer applied before flowering, because during this period, the blooming of flowers will consume a large amount of nutrients. Once the amount of nutrients is insufficient, there will be no nutrients to supply the leaves, and they will turn yellow.

Solution: When planting, we must choose soil with sufficient nutrients; fertilization should be carried out every 15 days during the growing period. It is necessary to apply additional fertilizer before flowering to ensure that the nutrients in the leaves will not be absorbed by the flowers during flowering.
