If the leaves of Michelia are withering, these tricks will have great results!

If the leaves of Michelia are withering, these tricks will have great results!

Cause 1: Normal aging

Michelia is a plant for viewing flowers and leaves, but all plants will experience aging, a phenomenon we cannot resist. The leaves will slowly turn yellow, wither and fall off.

Solution: In this case, we just need to clean up the fallen leaves in time so as not to affect the normal growth of the plants.

Reason 2: Poor soil permeability

Michelia has high requirements for soil permeability. If the soil permeability is too poor and the soil is not loose, it will easily cause the roots of Michelia to be unable to breathe normally, and the leaves of Michelia will easily turn yellow and wither.

Solution: The soil for growing Michelia can be a mixture of 2/3 fine sand and 1/3 peat soil, or a mixture of 2/3 fine sand and 1/3 leaf mold.

Reason 3: Overwatering

Although Michelia likes a humid environment, excessive humidity can easily cause its roots to rot and cause the leaves to turn yellow and wither.

Solution: Observe the soil frequently. If it is dry, water it appropriately. But it should not be exposed to the sun when watering.

Reason 4: Low temperature

When the temperature is below 5 degrees, the Michelia's ability to absorb nutrients will be weakened. If it is not supplied with nutrients for a long time, its leaves will slowly turn yellow and wither.

Solution: Even in winter, Michelia should not be allowed to overwinter in an environment below 10 degrees.
