The watering of small hibiscus should be appropriate

The primary reason why the leaves of hibiscus turn yellow is water. Because most hibiscus trees have weak root systems, they can easily become dehydrated and dry out due to the roots being too dry.

The rainy season in the south of the Yangtze River with high temperature and heavy rain in summer is the peak period of yellow leaves. Do not water too much at this time to prevent water accumulation in the pot and cause yellow leaves.

Potted plants should be moved to a well-ventilated place with scattered light to increase water evaporation, especially old seedlings that have grown for more than two years, which are more likely to dry out due to lack of water. Be sure to develop a good habit of watering.

Small hibiscus has sufficient light

Pruning and fertilizing of small hibiscus

Hibiscus truncatum blooms most vigorously in spring and needs to be pruned promptly after the flowers bloom, with the branches cut back to one-quarter.
