The causes and solutions of the yellowing leaves of the green radish

The main factors that cause the leaves of green radish to turn yellow are improper watering, unbalanced light, and improper fertilization.

Improper watering

Too much or too little watering will affect the growth of the green radish and cause the leaves to turn yellow. If the leaves are dark yellow and dull, and the new branches are shrunken, it means that you have watered too much. If the edges of the leaves become dry and withered, the new leaves grow well, but the old leaves turn yellow and fall off, it means that there is insufficient watering.

Unbalanced lighting

Pothos prefers shade, but still needs light. However, too much sunlight or insufficient light will make the green radish dull and lifeless. Under strong light, the tips and edges of the leaves of the green radish will dry up, and yellow spots will appear on the parts facing the sun. On the contrary, if the leaves are kept in a dark environment for a long time and do not get enough light, they will turn yellow.

Improper fertilization

When too much fertilizer is applied to the green radish, the leaves become thick but dull, the leaves curl up and do not stretch, and the old leaves turn yellow and fall off. When there is a lack of fertilizer, the color of the leaves becomes lighter, and they gradually turn yellow from the tip of the leaves to the rhizome.

Cut off diseased leaves

As soon as you notice the leaves turning yellow, you should remove the diseased leaves immediately. If you can handle it in time and pay more attention to maintenance, the yellowing condition of the leaves can be improved in the early stages. If the leaves of the plant turn yellow severely, this method can only remove the aging leaves on the surface and do other treatments.

Proper maintenance

Pay more attention to watering, lighting and fertilization. Every link needs to be improved and with more care, your green ivy will surely regain its green color.

Unwind

This method is for green ivy with brown columns. Separate the green radish and the palm column and re-twist them.

Control the water for a week before operation, and try to wait until the branches are soft before operation to avoid breaking the branches.

Use scissors to cut the aerial roots and separate them from the palm column.

Re-twist the cut branches along the palm column, with the healthy branches as far upward as possible and the branches with yellow or fallen leaves placed at the bottom. When winding, arrange them evenly to maintain beauty.

Then give it sufficient water, fertilizer and enough light, and it will soon grow into an upright pot of green radish.

Pruning Updates

First, cut off the yellowing branches and leaves directly. Do not cut the rhizome directly during pruning.
