How to make cactus grow faster and have more branches

How to make cactus grow faster and have more branches

1. Water appropriately

Cactus is very drought-resistant, so watering should be done according to the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry, and it should not be watered at will. Usually, you should wait until the soil is completely dry before watering it thoroughly, and the amount of water should not be too much, it is better to be less than more. Once water accumulates in the soil, it will hinder growth, slow down the growth rate, and easily lead to poor growth.

2. Sufficient light

It likes light and should be placed in a sunny place for a long time. Sufficient light will encourage the plant to accumulate nutrients, thus growing faster. If the plant lacks light, it will grow weak and its growth rate will naturally slow down.

3. Control temperature

Its temperature requirements are actually not very strict. It is resistant to high temperatures and has slight cold resistance. But if you want it to grow faster, you need to control the temperature difference. Pay attention to keeping warm in winter, especially in northern regions, to avoid low temperatures that will stop the plants from growing.

4. Apply fertilizer appropriately

If you want it to grow faster, fertilization is essential. During the normal growing season, nitrogen fertilizer should be applied regularly, once a month. Adequate nutrients can promote vigorous growth and faster growth. If you want it to bloom, you need to add an appropriate amount of phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer before flowering, or buy special fertilizer at a flower shop.
