If you grow chives and lotus like this in winter, you can get through the winter easily!

Characteristics of leek lotus:

The cold resistance of leek lotus is not very strong, but it is not afraid of the hot summer.

Winter breeding method:

If you are in the Yangtze River Basin, there is no problem in planting the leeks outdoors for the winter. But if you are in the north, you should move it indoors. When the maintenance temperature can be maintained above 15 degrees and there is sufficient sunlight, the leek lotus can bloom normally. The most preferred temperature for leek lotus is between 16 and 28 degrees, and this temperature can be reached indoors in the north. But please note that you must promptly trim off the leaves that show signs of yellowing before and after the flowering period. This will reduce the density of the plant without affecting its ornamental value and ensure the normal growth of the leek lotus.

The lowest temperature that the leek lotus can withstand is 5 degrees. Below 5 degrees, the leaves of the leek lotus will easily dry up and wither.

Winter is relatively dry, and leek lotus is suitable for surviving in slightly moist conditions. You can use a spray bottle to spray water around it to increase the air humidity.

Even in winter, you should choose a windowsill or other place where sunlight can directly shine in to place the chive lotus.

If the leek lotus is in its peak growth period, you can increase the amount of watering. If the growing season has passed, watering can be done by alternating dry and wet cycles.
