Have you watered the Jade Plant thoroughly? What should I do if I watered it too much?

Have you watered the Jade Plant thoroughly? What should I do if I watered it too much?

1. Is the watering thorough?

When watering the Jade Plant, you must water it thoroughly, even in the cold winter, and you cannot water it halfway, otherwise the roots at the bottom will not absorb water and its growth will be hindered. Moreover, watering like this for a long time can easily cause the soil to become compacted. When watering, pour along the edge of the pot and let the water seep in slowly until it is completely soaked.

2. Watering frequency

The specific frequency of watering it depends on the season and is not fixed. If it is in spring and summer, the temperature is high, the plants grow fast and consume a lot of water, they should be watered every four days, and in the dry summer season, you should also spray water on the leaves frequently to keep them moist. If it is autumn and the temperature is slowly dropping, reduce the frequency. Generally water once a week. If it is winter, the growth is slow and the temperature is low, don't water it unless the soil is dry.

3. What to do if you water too much

It likes dry environment and is afraid of waterlogging. If you water too much for a long time, it will hinder the root breathing, easily lead to root rot, and seriously hinder growth. Therefore, if you water too much, you must take remedial measures. If you move it to a ventilated place, the evaporation of water will be accelerated. You can loosen the surface soil frequently, or remove the soil from the pot and dry it in the sun. If water accumulation is serious, it is recommended to change the pot and soil to avoid root rot.
