How to grow pennywort? Is pennywort easy to grow?

1. Suitable soil

The requirements of the pennywort on the soil are not high, and its adaptability is relatively strong. It generally uses sandy soil with good drainage. If you prepare the potting soil yourself, generally mix it with leaf mold, river mud and garden soil, with the ratio of the three being 5:2:2. You can also add an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer to provide nutrients for plant growth.

2. Sufficient light

The pennywort is not a very light-loving plant. If it is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, its leaves will easily wither and turn yellow. Generally, you need to place the plant in the shade, or let it bask in the sun when the light is softer. It must not be exposed to sunlight at noon, otherwise it will easily get burned. In winter, it can receive light for a long time, which helps it survive the winter.

3. Adequate watering

Pennywort can be grown in water or in soil. Either way, sufficient water must be provided. If it is too dry, the plant will grow poorly. Moreover, the plant is relatively resistant to moisture, so you can water it more often to keep the soil sufficiently moist. Due to the high temperature in summer, water is more easily lost when watering, so appropriate spraying is needed to increase the air humidity.

4. Appropriate fertilization

In order to make the pennywort grow better, it needs to be provided with sufficient fertilizer. During its growing season, top dressing should be applied every 2-3 weeks. The concentration of fertilizer should be controlled and not too concentrated, otherwise it will burn its roots. If it is hydroponics, you need to drip nutrient solution into the water regularly to provide nutrients.
