How to plant Fraxinus chinensis

How to plant Fraxinus chinensis

1. Planting time

There are not many restrictions on the planting time, except that the period from Qingming Festival to September every year is not suitable because the temperature is high at this time, which can easily cause excessive evaporation of water and sunburn the plants. The climate is relatively suitable at other times and planting can be carried out.

2. Dealing with tree stumps

Before planting, you need to prepare the tree stump, remove the fibrous roots, old roots, and rotten roots, mix rooting powder and fungicide, and then spray it on the roots. You can also mix the rooting agent with water and soil, stir it thoroughly to form mud, and then put the roots in to soak for a few minutes, dry it for a while and then plant it. This method can be used to disinfect and sterilize, and problems in later growth can also be avoided.

3. Prepare the soil

The flowerpot you choose should be larger to ensure that the roots of the plant can stretch out. The material should be breathable and the color should be dark. You also need to choose suitable soil. You can use garden soil mixed with sand, which can not only ensure nutrition but also increase air permeability.

4. Planting in pots

Dig a shallow hole in the flowerpot and plant it in it. The remaining soil should not be compacted. You can use watering to make the soil sink and fit the roots.
