How does lucky bamboo survive the winter? What is the minimum temperature for lucky bamboo to survive the winter?

1. Control the temperature

It has poor cold resistance and the temperature is low in winter, so it needs to be controlled in time. The temperature should be controlled at around 20 degrees, so that it can grow normally in such an environment. If it is between 10-13 degrees, it will stop growing and resume growing when the temperature rises. The lowest tolerable temperature must be above 10 degrees. If it is below 10 degrees, it is easy to get frostbite and cause frost damage. Be careful not to place it near a heater as it may get burned. If there is no heating in the area, you can wrap old clothes around the outside of the container and wrap the branches above with clothes as well. This will keep them warm and help them through the winter.

2. Change water in time

It is not enough to just control the temperature during the winter, you also need to change the water regularly. Usually you need to change the water every 20-30 days, not too often. Note that you do not need to add nutrient solution when changing water to avoid burning the roots. Also pay attention to the water temperature. The water temperature should not be too low and should be kept at around 20 degrees, otherwise it will irritate the plants and easily cause damage. The water can be placed indoors in advance and replaced when the water temperature is close to room temperature.

3. Get more sun

The light in winter is relatively mild, and it also likes light. It should be placed in a well-lit place indoors and exposed to the sun all day. This is beneficial for the winter. Not only can it increase the temperature, but the plant can also accumulate more nutrients, allowing it to better survive the winter.
